Rugaz Rescue Inc. Founder / Director
Devilyn is the most generous, loving soul when it comes to animals. She is not only the Founder/Director of "Rugaz Rescue" Formally "Hernandos APBT Rescue" but also the Director of Operations for a local SPCA. She has dedicated her life to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing her Bully friends, and educating the public on Pit Bull Awareness. Devilyn has even implemented Home Inspections at the SPCA for American Pit Bull Terrier's. Her utmost concern is for each one of these kiddo's safety, health and happiness. She simply lives for the faces and smiles she sees on those dogs faces everyday, and the smiles on the family's faces when they bring home their new family member. The joy of knowing that, no matter what, at least a few will be saved and make it. She is an asset to those dogs who are so often given up on. They are lucky to cross paths with her, as she never gives up on them. In addition to her amazing work with the dogs, she loves long walks on the beach, fuzzy slippers, and an occassional romantic comedy. Birthday cake also makes this rescuer smile like the pits she cares so much for!
Blue - Rugaz Rescue Inc. Co-Director
Sir Blue came to Rugaz as an adoptive parent of our wonderful Aztek. Little did he know he was going to get so sucked into this rescue that he would become a major part in it's progress to save more and more bull-kids. His dedication and commitment to educating the public and loving our community's bull's is un-matched like any other. His true heart and soul have given a life time of invested intrest in these dogs, and we are truly lucky to have him at our side... We truly look forward to what this rescue is going to be doing in the future under Devilyn and Blue's wings! Speaking of wings...Blue loves crispy honey-BBQ wings! Deep fried twinkies are also a fav! You may catch him fishing or even picking "knock out roses". Lastly, his favorite color is NOT blue!!

I have always had the need to help the "Under Dog". Be it human (minorities, equality, politically) or animals (those deemed dangerous), I have always had a soft spot and a need to fight for change; a need to believe that people will stand with me and say "this isn't right". I fell in love with the American Pit Bull Terrier on contact, love at first sight. And I knew that the reputation they were often given was completely false. I've never known the kind of love, dedication and loyalty as that of the APBT. Their resilience simply amazes me. Their only need in life is to be with their human, their GOD. I will always defend and protect what I know to be true. I will always fight for the right to own and love the breed of my choice. I will continue to find a better way to approach those less knowledgeable and give them the truth....Mass Media Breeds Mass Deception. I pray for change, I pray for an epiphany or revelation within the human race. We need to realize that we cannot exterminate an entire breed because of our faults and follies. I will always strive to save and preserve the American Pit Bull Terrier.

Darius and Stephanie have become quite the lifesavers (literally) with Rug'Az. Since becoming involved with fostering, they have had 7-8 dogs in their care, and each one has left their home in stellar shape. They are always more than willing to lend a helping hand, and their door has been open to each dog we've brought their way. The compassion they feel for these dogs is admirable and we are lucky to have them aboard. Even their Italian Greyhound is loving his doggy-mates and doesn't mind sharing his home with them. We are thankful for all of them and the dogs they've had in their home are too!

Summer's involvement with Rug'Az came by pure accident. She was looking to adopt another member of her family when she saw Orion, fell in love, was approved and home to Summer went Orion! Well after a few update E-mails and getting to know Summer more, we asked her to help with one home inspection, then to foster and then before she knew it, she was ALL in! She now fosters a dog at a time and Volunteers to help in every way possible! She is a blessing and now a proud mommy of Orion and ZZ from Rugaz! We are blessed to have her!
Sarah - Foster/Volunteer Mom
Sarah came to us off of The Pit Bull Forum in the nick of time! We cannot thank her enough for coming in to help Foster Jazz (Yes, We know he's the best dog in the world, but you can't keep him!! lol) Her pack of pups at home along with her make an awesome foster team and we are stealing you all for life! Thank you Foster Mommy Sarah, Sister Falise and Brother Ty! Some things you may not know about Sarah are: she once scaled a tall buliding in a single bound, she can dial a phone and text faster than you, and she has a degree in sewing mass amounts of snowmen in one day!
Cassie - Foster Mom and Volunteer
Miss Cassie has come through for Rug'Az in the roughest of times, and has shown her true dedication when one of her Foster Puppies "Naila" was stolen and she came all the way out to help search for her on endless nights with us! She is a wonderful puppies raiser, and a truely dedicated Pitty girl! We are blessed to have her join the team! Cassie is also a queso dip eating champion.
Marrissa - Foster Mom/Volunteer Extraordinaire
Miss Marissa our newest Foster Mommy came to us Via a Message Board, and boy are we greatful that she got in contact with us to join our big happy family! She went from having 1 foster dog, to now 2 foster dogs at a time, and then god only knows what else we might be able to talk her into!!!
