Dr. Wentworth is Avian & Animal Hospital’s most recent addition, joining us in July of 2008. Growing up in Indiana, she now happily calls warm and sunny Florida her home. Dr. Wentworth received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami/Indiana University in 2002 and then went on to earn her DVM from Purdue University in 2008. She is very excited to begin her veterinary career and to meet new clients and patients.
Dr. Wentworth has special interests in exotic medicine (particularly rabbit medicine) and also preventative medicine. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering with marine mammal stranding teams, taking exercise classes, scuba diving, and spending time with her many adorable pets: 3 rabbits, a dog and a cat!
Dr. Zellner has been a part of the Avian and Animal Hospital's team since 2006. Hailing from Virginia, Dr. Zellner attended Virginia Tech as an undergraduate. Go Hokies! She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zellner's medical interests include Avian and Exotic medicine. She looks forward to establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets.
Outside of work Dr. Zellner enjoys reading and playing the violin as well as spending time with her many pets, which include dogs, birds, lizards and snakes (they aren't slimy, promise!). She has a strong love of music and enjoys concerts throughout the Bay area. If you see her at a show, be sure to say hi!

The whole staff of the Avian and Animal Hospital. An amazing team of all women who have the ability to treat more amazing animals with the greatest level of care and treatment known. They have quickly become part of the family with us at Rugaz Rescue Inc. They have seen most of our rescues for initial exams and treatments and are familiar with our rescue efforts and know our dogs. We also use them for our personal pets and can not express how much we dig this group of women, so we recommend you check them out for yourself.
